Winter License Plate Request

As we head into another wonderful winter season in Minnesota, we want to give you some insight into the technology we use at Due North Car Wash to get you into the car wash quickly.

Due North uses License Plate Reader (LPR) technology, which means we have cameras that scan your rear license plate and open the gate to allow you easy entry into the wash. For the technology to work most efficiently the license plate needs to be free of excessive dirt or snow, scratching or fading, large frames that block the plate’s letters or numbers and covers that darken the plate. This time of year we are most concerned with snow!

While we will always have staff on hand to help you get into the wash quickly, it would be very helpful, and make the process move along faster, if you can make sure your plate is as free and clear of snow as possible.
